Jillian Kicks My Butt - Week 9 - Sunday

I have never dreaded weigh in day as much as I did today. I have been bloated and uncomfortable for weeks and this week's carefree nature with the food sort of terrified me. The damage, however, was minimal - up half a pound to 131.5, and I know it's not fat. I haven't been eating enough to actually gain fat, unless there is something seriously wrong with me. I am confident I will be back down to my low within two weeks. Not starting my day with wheat (in cereal or toast) has already made a big difference. For the first time in weeks, I was not constantly hungry, and I feel 100 times better.

9:35 AM - turkey bacon, avocado omelet w/ onion, green pepper & salsa

12:45 PM - salad w/ ground turkey, avocado, sour cream & salsa

2:40 PM - apple & cottage cheese

5:55 PM - chicken, broccoli & cauliflower w/ red pepper Italian & sun dried tomato dressings

Three cups of coffee and 80 ounces of water. Yeah, I slacked on the water.

I bet you'll be back at what you were before within a few days - I'm sure that weight gain was all water. It's awesome that you're tuning into what works for your body and even better that you're feeling the difference! I discovered long ago that cereal doesn't work well for me, only because I end up feeling hungry 1-1.5 hours later. DOesn't mean I don't love the stuff! What I do now is mix 1/3 cup of oats with 1/3 cup of Trader Joe's High Fiber cereal, which is basically like Fiber One. I mix it with almond milk, water, cinnamon, and some almond butter. It tastes so good and really sticks with me for a while. That's when I'm in the mood for something warm and carby. Otherwise, eggs are a great choice for breakfast! I LOVE the sound of your romaine/avocado wrap! :)

P.S. - Thank you so much for reading my new blog and leaving a comment! You are the first!

Thanks for the cereal tip. Do you cook the oats? I think no?

Yeah...I've tried raw oats and they're fine mixed with other stuff, but you get more bang for your buck if you cook them. They seem to inflate. :)

Thanks. I'll try that in a few weeks. Its nice to know I can have this stuff, if I'm trying to maintain, so it's not as scary to leave it out for now.

I don't know if I answered your question..LOL...I meant that yes, I cook them in the microwave.

I would think that have something like oats would be ok, since they're very natural (nothing added or taken away) so that if you wanted them now you could just have them in the morning. Or wait...either way. :)

True - I was more concerned with adding the cereal to it, even just a little bit.
