Jillian Kicks My Butt - Week 7 - Friday

30 Day Shred Level 3 and Turbo Jam Cardio Party 3 today - 77 minutes and 534 calories burned. I'm not sure what to say about Level 3. The first circuit was not very difficult at all. Then the second circuit came along and kicked my ass. It's definitely my favorite level, but some of the moves are the same ones I hate in Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, so I am really going to hate double dipping on certain days - I have BFBM scheduled 5 more times in the next 3 weeks. Wow. Only 3 more weeks. I'm half tempted to just do Shred 5 days a week for 2 weeks to get it done, but I don't want to give up anything else to make room for it. So, 3 weeks it will be.

Today was my third attempt at Cardio Party 3. I'm still having trouble with the moves but I'm sure I'll get it quickly. I do have to adjust the chain we have hanging in the living room for our sex swing punching bag because I keep smacking it. It's looped up and out of the way, except for when I do this workout. There's so much hands in the air stuff that I hit it quite a few times. So, between trying not to do that and trying not to trip on the seam between our carpets, I'm not able to completely let loose and go. It's still fun though. I really, really, really wish I could be a Turbo Kick instructor. Damn this shyness.

6:25 AM - Total cereal w/ skim milk

10:15 AM - turkey bacon, toast, omelet w/ onion, green peppers & salsa

1:30 PM - chicken breast, mozzarella cheese, green peppers, onion & pasta sauce baked in flat bread wrap; This was wonderful, but I'm cranky and still hungry.

3:45 PM - broccoli, cauliflower, baby carrots & avocado chipotle hummus

7:05 PM - all-veggie salad w/ light balsamic dressing

Four cups of coffee and 120 ounces of water.

LOL...I like the "sex swing" thing...was that a Freudian slip? :) Cardio Party sounds fun, and honestly - you totally CAN be an instructor!! Maybe some time in the future you can start taking classes outside your home? If you enjoy DVDs I think you would LOVE group exercise!

LOL No, it's just a joke (unfortunately for DH). People ask us why there's a big chain hanging in the middle of our living room, and they actually look at us weird if we say it's for a punching bag. But a wink and a giggle is what we get if we say it's for the swing.

I do not like group exercise. When I did my free trial at one local fitness place, the big turn off was working in a group. I'm so uncomfortable being in the back of the group, I can't imagine leading one LOL

But I would LOVE to have access to the programs Turbo Kick instructors do.

I so agree that we've come a loooong way! Amazing really when we look at it. We should be proud of ourselves!

I don't know what the Turbo Kick instructors have access to, but maybe it's something you can look into? I know the first few times of group exercise classes can be so intimidating, especially when everyone knows one another. I guess that's what I always liked about Jazzercise - I never felt left out, even when I was 16 years old and surrounded by women in their 30s, 40s and 50s. I didn't always get that at regular aerobics classes.

I am going to think about it, for sure. I'm so ridiculously shy though. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up.

I was exactly the same way Becky...always very shy when I was younger and throughout high school. Then all of a sudden I got up onstage with a friend to do a routine with her (I didn't speak or anything) and it was like BAM! I knew right then and there that I wanted to do it. I think when you get onstage you kind of take on another personality. It's just so much fun. If you're confident in your abilities (and I have no doubt you have them) then there will be no problems. It's a bit challenging at first but afterwards it becomes addicting. :) No pressure though - I know it's a big deal. I'm just planting a little seed in your brain.
