Insanity - Week 9 - Sunday - FINAL FIT TEST

It feels SO GOOD to be done with this. Here is my progress over the last 9 weeks. The numbers in parentheses are from the Fit Test I did for fun back in December 2009, right after finishing P90X.

Switch Kicks - (78) - 87 - 91 - 115 - 125 - 140
Power Jacks - (53) - 43 - 50 - 59 - 63 - 69
Power Knees - (86) - 82 - 90 - 100 - 108 - 115
Power Jumps - (25) - 26 - 30 - 37 - 49 - 55
Globe Jumps - (9) - 8 - 9 - 9 - 10 - 11
Suicide Jumps (Burpees) - (13) - 14 - 16 - 18 - 19 - 22
Push Up Jacks - (14) - 16 - 19 - 22 - 24 - 28
Low Plank Obliques - (32) - 34 - 36 - 44 - 46 - 56

My net burn was 149 calories, and I'll take 1 activity point for that.

It was also weigh in day. When I started Insanity, I weighed 138 pounds, a lot of it was water retention from a binge. Today I weighed in at 130, so I lost 8 pounds in 9 weeks.

I didn't track my food today. I practiced good portion control and fairly smart choices though. I even went out to a buffet and only ate until I was satisfied, not full, and I even skipped dessert. I did, however, get a mudslide which probably counts as a dessert. But it was the first time in a very long time that I've gone out to eat at a buffet and didn't leave feeling sick to my stomach from all the sugar and excess food. I'm super proud of myself.

And now I am off to get drunk, points be damned!

I am so impressed with your blog. I started one myself to be accountable. I have one question: When logging in P90x workouts how did you assign points to ab ripper x and the weight lifting like shoulder and arms?

Thanks!

I only took 1 AP for ab ripper and 1 AP per 15 minutes of strength training. Strength training itself doesn't burn all that many calories, and it will vary greatly from person to person. Heart rate monitors aren't designed to work with weight lifting (unless it's true circuit training) so I never bothered with that. I would rather underestimate my AP then overestimate.
